Our Grade 3 program continues explicit phonics instruction while deepening the morphology instruction introduced in grades 1 and 2, helping students build automaticity in reading multisyllable words through the six syllable types, syllable division, and the morphological structure of words. Decoding and encoding application tasks build advanced phonics and word-attack skills for increasingly complex text.
